How can I deal with these problems? My father has schizophrenia. He sexually assaulted me; I never expected this could happen. Even now, despite knowing about his illness, I'm afraid of him and avoid him. Unfortunately, I've developed obsessive-compulsive disorder related to cleanliness. The situation has become so painful and overwhelming that I'm afraid I'll develop depression. I want to leave this house, but I don't have the financial means to do so. I try to act normally, but my mind is filled with thoughts and fears and can't return to normal. Does anyone have any advice?

What I want to put here is your are going through a trauma and it needs to be healed properly to avoid making your life miserable. The best thing is you have awareness. And the work needs to be done on the trauma healing and the fear developed. Things will be great, have faith and seek help. You are a strong soul.
